The Enneagram is the most powerful tool I have come across to implement personal change. I have taught and worked with the system for over 10 years, and the shifts I’ve seen it create are profound. I’ve witnessed individuals learn how to challenge their deepest fears and empower themselves to use their voice.  It increases self-awareness, personal accountability, and compassion.  Whether you choose to use the Enneagram in therapy or coaching, Enneagram work is self-empowerment work.

Enneagram Therapy

So what’s the difference?  When I’m doing therapy, I use the Enneagram as a tool to help my clients heal trauma and childhood wounds.  We go slower.  I intentionally create space to unpack relationship dynamics and dig deep into the meaning of emotions.  The Enneagram is our guide to use as little or as much as is helpful.  I incorporate other trauma therapy techniques such as EMDR and guided meditations.  It’s focused on mental health and wellness.

  • Incorporates your Enneagram type growth into shifting anxiety and trauma.

  • Use of trauma healing therapies such as EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

  • Slower paced to make space for nervous system regulation and relationship healing.

  • As I’m licensed in that state of North Carolina, you must be located in NC.

  • Therapy is eligible for insurance reimbursement.

Enneagram Coaching

Enneagram coaching, on the other hand, moves much more quickly. You set specific goals based on your Enneagram type from the very beginning. We work on breaking through the barriers of your type in a direct, specific way.  While we will talk about feelings, childhood experiences, and current hardships, the focus is on doing the work of your type.

  • Focuses on where you are currently struggling with your Enneagram type.

  • We set specific goals for your growth.

  • Coaching is fast-paced, direct, and goal-oriented.

  • I give specific feedback to you about your type’s patterns and how they are showing up with you.

  • Enneagram coaching is best for those who are already knowledgeable and invested in the work of their type.
